The Lost & Found line is no exception, rescuing some of the best-kept secrets in the industry. Initially known as Impromptu, the project also involves Tony Bellatto and Jaclyn Sears.
Once Caldwell has scoured the best cigar factories in Central and South America, he brings cigars back to the Dominican Republic, with Sears conjuring the artwork and Bellatto overseeing distribution. Sometimes there are only 100 boxes or bundles, all of which are often scarce with information about the blend’s original components and the company of manufacture.
However, this has only made Lost & Found cigars even more sought-after. Connoisseurs know their smokes are coming from the most reputable manufacturers in the industry, are extremely well-aged, and are often forgotten editions that are no longer in production.

Cold draw
There are plenty of variations regarding the Lost & Found Scooby Snax. In the latest of our Lost and Found reviews, we’re focusing on those dressed in a maduro shade wrapper — specifically the 5.5x54 Robusto vitola.
Its dark complexion and hint of chocolate among the rich, spicy aromas suggest it is likely a Habano wrapper. The chocolatey vibes persist on the pre-light draw, with warm and creamy cocoa sitting pretty.
The design is engineered for a controllable flame, allowing you to toast the cigar precisely and create an even burn that doesn’t waver. As the Scooby Doo theme plays in my head, I can’t help but think we’ve got some work to do now.
First third
With my palate primed for some scooby smoking, this rare beauty flies out of the traps with big hits of black pepper spice, earth, and leather. There’s a charming richness throughout the first third, with heavy cream also making a delicious impact. The smoke has a pleasant creaminess, too, while traces of cinnamon and popcorn are evident in the retrohale.
Second third
The second third gives me no reason to stop snacking. Flavors escalate in intensity, with the leather note very much alive and kicking. Earthy tones tick away in the background, with occasional flicks of cocoa and sweet cream.
On the nose, the warm nutty and woody flavor of the cinnamon and popcorn is bordering on becoming peppery, but without fear of it overpowering this beautifully complex blend.
Final third
With the finish line in sight, I’m still being treated to phenomenal flavors of coffee, leather, moist earth, and white pepper. The extensive aging helps the cigar keep its decadent, rich feel, as velvety chocolate notes finds shelter among the savory highs as I approach the nub.
Conclusion
Unquestionably a box-worthy smoke, make sure you’re ready and willing to get your hands on a bundle of 10 Scooby Snax cigars. Although this fascinating blend is unknown, it’s one that could have been lost forever.
Thankfully, this medium-full bodied stogie was given a second lease of life. Now I’ve smoked it, I can assure you it’s one you need to discover. With only a small quantity out there, enjoy them while they’re still around, ideally alongside your favorite single malt scotch.
