Oliva Serie V 135th Anniversary Edicion Limitada
Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Ecuador
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Length: 5.5
Ring: 54
Strength: Medium-Full
Smoke Time: 50 Minutes
Finally, we have the beautiful Oliva Serie V 135th Anniversary Edicion Limitada. This cigar is meant to commemorate the 135 year-long history of the Oliva family. Immediately, you’ll notice the unique baseball bat shape to this stick, which has a tapered foot instead of a cap.
For its binder and filler, this cigar features a blend of specially fermented Nicaraguan ligero tobaccos that were grown on the Oliva family farms. The wrapper is top-shelf Ecuadorian Habano that has been grown in Ecuador’s mountains. While ligero tobacco tends to be strong, the tobacco in this stick has been aged enough to temper the strength. In this medium-to-full-bodied smoke, you’ll taste some coffee, wood, cocoa, and sweet spice notes, and the flavors only get more pronounced when the burn reaches the full width of the cigar. This anniversary cigar is truly a special cigar to round out this month’s box.
