I was recently asked to deliver a paragraph or two of gibberish to the Cigars.com founders. Routinely, I make it a practice to afford all that approach me for this and that's of life with complete and utter non-compliance across the board. I find it helps to keep the flow of my universe in balance with chi and harmoniously entwined with the ethers of the universe and the World Wide Web, of course. Today I made the conscious decision to break stride from my standard operating procedure, as I happen to fancy the founders and their antics. Although I find them to be individuals of questionable moral character and less than consistent grooming standards, I appreciate and applaud all that they do for our beloved industry and felt the throbbing urge to come towards them in both the spirit of partnership and participation in regards to their weekly column/blog/distasteful written swill/what-have-you.
NOW with that said, I would like to address something we all (or at least most of us) hold so near and dear to our hearts & cigars. The cigar is the encapsulation and final product stemming from an investment of love, time and dedication. In many cases this spans multiple generations across the fabric of time. The cigar is a thing of beauty and the lifeblood of our community and culture. I find it prudent practice to offer consideration to all the participants that have lent hand and self to the creation of that product which you enjoy. Toast those who have given a piece of themselves so that you may set sail on this micro vacation from life as you ignite and consume that fine premium cigar.
Furthermore treat yourself today to a cigar that bears the name Tatuaje, Illusione, Foundation, Roma Craft, Nomad, 262, Caldwell, Room101, or something of the like Invest your money with small American business. Invest your money with people who have (for what reason we could absolutely not identify at this point) made significant investment and dedication of self to entrench themselves in a craft based industry that is fueled by passions beyond what the average mortal can afford. Spend your money with the adventurers and entrepreneurs that have dared against the odds to deliver you a product birthed from passions that you very well might share with them.
I anticipate the Cigars.com team having some recommendations for you. Follow their instruction, as they do know what they are talking about. In addition, I ask you tread with caution in regards to these so called founders they are wretched temptresses and will seduce you with their wilds.
