In the past 5 years, it’s hard to imagine any cigar company has had as big of an impact as RoMa Craft Tobac. They are among the most sought after and highest rated cigars on the market today, due to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of its founders. From the beginning as a simple boutique brick and mortar operation, to claiming a spot in last year’s Top 25 cigars of the year, RoMa Craft has been an unstoppable force in boutique cigars for the better part of a decade.
In 2010, Mike Rosales, then head of Costa Rican Imports, travelled to EstelÃ, Nicaragua with his friend Skip Martin, head of Galveston Bay Tobacco. After meeting a young blender named Esteban Disla, the trio began to manufacturer the CroMagnon line out of Disla's garage. The cigar was an instant success, and a year later they built the Nica Sueño Factory, one of the most prominent cigar factories in the modern day.
In 2012, Mike and Skip merged their companies and founded RoMa Craft Tobac. While Skip mainly resides in Esteli, Mike spends his time either in their HQ in Austin, or on the road visiting retailers across the country. RoMa Craft has continued their success with hits such as the Neanderthal and the Aquitaine. Mike has sworn the quality control will always be central to their operation, and they will never overproduce cigars and chance creating a flawed product.
Today, you would be hard pressed to find a cigar store in the U.S. that doesn’t carry RoMa Craft. Mike works tirelessly at events and expos around the world to bring his passion to new customers every day. We here at Cigars.com are proud to have the RoMa Craft product, and hope you enjoy one today.
